The New York State Department of Health Dementia Conference titled “ Living Well with Dementia… Facing Challenges and Finding Solutions - ” will be held Monday June 16 and Tuesday June 17, 2008, at the Albany Marriott in Albany, NY.

The Dementia Grants program sponsors a statewide conference for an exciting two day event in which guest lectures, educational breakout sessions, and other special presentations are scheduled. The objective of the conference is to disseminate information and research on best practices of dementia care and the challenges it presents for persons with dementia, their families, and their caregivers.

The conference attracts a wide audience of health care professionals' across the state as well researchers to present their studies, ideas, and findings from across the country. If you work in nursing homes, adult care facilities, adult day programs, home care, hospitals or other community settings, this conference is for you! We are facing today's challenges and finding tomorrow's innovative solutions that will better the lives of people with dementia, therefore “Living Well with Dementia”.
